Woodbury woman who died on Wednesday identified
Police have identified the woman who died on Wednesday in Woodbury as Samia Amare Al Ahad, 29, of Woodbury.
The Woodbury Public Safety Department is “still actively investigating all possibilities of how Al Ahad died,” Cmdr. Tom Ehrenberg said Friday. No formal charges will be filed at this time, he said.
Police were called to the 500 block of Woodduck Drive at 8:36 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a person suffering a medical emergency.
First responders tried to save Al Ahad, but were unable to revive her, police said. No other details were given.
Washington County Jail logs show a 27-year-old man was booked Wednesday evening on suspicion of second-degree murder. He was expected to be released on Friday, Ehrenberg said.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting in the investigation.
