Thailand Q1 2026: Market up 22% to over 200,000 units
Toyota remains by far the most popular brand in Thailand but drops to 34.1% share.
Q1 vehicle sales in Thailand soar 22% year-on-year to 201,033 units. Market leaders Toyota (+5.3%) and Honda (+2.9%) perform poorly at 34.1% and 11.3% share respectively vs. 39.5% and 13.3% a year ago over Q1 2025. Isuzu (-6.1%) is in difficulty at #3 ahead of three surging Chinese brands: BYD (+62.4%), Omoda Jaecoo (+1371.3%) and MG (+78.5%). GAC Aion (+125.4%) and GWM (+133.7%) also stun in the remainder of the Top 10, as do Deepal (+70.9%), Chery (+1263.7%) and Tesla (+232.3%) below.
