‘Modern Family’ alum Sarah Hyland joins ‘The Great Gatsby’ on Broadway
Sarah Hyland will make a return to Broadway early next year, nearly two decades after her debut on the Great White Way.
The 34-year-old “Modern Family” alum will play Daisy Buchanan in the musical adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” at The Broadway Theatre, producers told People on Wednesday.
The New York native will take over for Eva Noblezada beginning Feb. 10, alongside Ryan McCartan as Jay Gatsby. Nick Carraway, who narrates the 1925 F. Scott Fitzgerald classic, will be played by Noah J. Ricketts.
Hyland shared the “big news” on Instagram, posting a throwback snap of herself donning a flapper dress, pearls and a 1920s-style wig.
“Ten years ago, I hosted a Great Gatsby themed NYE party. Now I’m playing THE Daisy Buchanan in @bwaygatsby on BROADWAY!!!!!!” wrote the former “Love Island USA” host.
Hyland first appeared on Broadway in the 2006 production of “Grey Gardens,” followed by this year’s off-Broadway rival of “Little Shop of Horrors.”
