The Gophers football program received a commitment from Georgia Tech transfer quarterback Zach Pyron on Wednesday.
Minnesota sought a QB with collegiate experience via the NCAA transfer portal, and the U quickly zeroed in behind the scenes on Pyron, who has been at the U on a visit this week.
Pyron has played in 19 games, completing 88 of 155 passes for 995 yards, with five touchdowns and seven interceptions over three seasons.
