Brown was a limited participant in Wednesday’s padded practice due to ankle and hand injuries. The 6-foot-8, 380-pounder has been limited ever since suffering injuries during consecutive games versus Buffalo and Miami in late October. Brown and Stevenson (ankle) have been the Pats’ best offensive players all season.

Core special teamer Brenden Schooler was also newly absent Thursday. The reason for his absence is unclear after the Patriots did not list him on their initial injury report Wednesday.

The Patriots will release their next injury report late Thursday afternoon.
