Elliss actually started for the Eagles last week before being waived on Wednesday. The 6-foot-3, 231-pound linebacker has 21 tackles and two tackles for loss on the season.
The 24-year-old went undrafted out of Idaho in 2021 and has spent time with the Vikings, 49ers and Eagles. He was a core special teams player with the Eagles over the last season-and-a-half.
Elliss joins Ja’Whaun Bentley, Chris Board, Jahlani Tavai and Mack Wilson on the Patriots’ off-ball linebacker depth chart.
