Pedestrian struck and critically injured Saturday night in St. Paul

A man was critically injured when he was struck by a motorist Saturday night in St. Paul.

The 5:30 p.m. crash occurred at E. 7th Street and Kittson Street in St. Paul, said Sgt. Toy Vixayvong, a St. Paul police spokesman. The driver, who showed no signs of impairment, remained on scene and cooperated with police. The pedestrian who was hit was taken to Regions Hospital in critical condition.

The crash remained under investigation Sunday night.
