Aston Martin Brings Its Fiercest S Models to the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed
Aston Martin is heading back to the Goodwood Festival of Speed with the kind of lineup that feels tailor-made for the hillclimb. For the 2026 running of the famed summer celebration, set for July 9 through July 12 at the Goodwood Estate in Sussex, the British luxury performance brand is putting its newest and sharpest “S” models front and center. That means the DB12 S, Vantage S, and DBX S will all share the spotlight, giving fans a close look at what Aston Martin considers its most potent series-production range to date.
The DB12 S will be one of the key attractions in the Supercar Paddock, and for good reason. Aston Martin’s latest Super Tourer turns up the heat with 700PS and 800Nm of torque, good for a 0-60 mph run in 3.4 seconds. More than just a power bump, the DB12 S brings a recalibrated 8-speed automatic transmission capable of rapid 120-millisecond shifts, revised damper software, an optimized electronic differential, a thicker anti-roll bar, and standard carbon ceramic brakes. It is the sort of grand tourer that still understands the value of drama, especially with Aston Martin promising a more muscular exhaust note.
Joining it is the Vantage S, which arrives as the more focused and aggressive expression of Aston Martin’s front-engined sports car formula. With 680PS and 800Nm from its 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, the Vantage S can sprint from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds, but the numbers only tell part of the story. Aston Martin has added a bespoke drive-by-wire throttle map, suspension and powertrain mount changes, and visual enhancements that are more than cosmetic. The centrally mounted bonnet blades and full-width rear spoiler give the car a tougher look while serving a functional role in its performance mission.
The DBX S brings the same attitude to Aston Martin’s luxury SUV lineup. Returning to Goodwood after the DBX set a hillclimb record the previous year, the new DBX S packs 727PS, 900Nm of torque, and a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds. It also benefits from technology transferred from the Valhalla supercar, along with a weight reduction of up to 47kg compared with the DBX707. For a five-seat, all-wheel-drive SUV, those figures are properly wild, yet Aston Martin is positioning the DBX S as more than a straight-line machine. The goal is a sharper, more responsive SUV that still delivers the luxury presence buyers expect.
Goodwood will not be all about the S cars, either. Aston Martin is also bringing out some of its most exotic machinery, including the Valkyrie, Valhalla, and the latest Vanquish. The Valhalla’s 1079PS plug-in hybrid setup and the Valkyrie’s road-going Formula 1 spirit should give the crowd plenty to hear and see as they tackle the famous hill. The Vanquish adds a different kind of theatre, celebrating 25 years of the nameplate while carrying on Aston Martin’s tradition of front-engined grand touring performance in dramatic fashion.
Aston Martin’s Formula One presence will add even more energy to the weekend, with the AMR25 F1 car scheduled to run up the hill. Jak Crawford and Jessica Hawkins are both set to make their Goodwood Festival of Speed debut runs in a Formula One car, adding a special motorsport moment to a lineup already stacked with road car firepower. Taken together, Aston Martin’s 2026 Goodwood showing looks like a clear statement of intent. The brand is leaning hard into performance, sound, design, and emotion, which is exactly what Goodwood crowds tend to appreciate most.
