After closing out the month of June with a 13-6 series-opener victory over the visiting Cincinnati Reds, the Red Sox begin anew in July and hope to find more consistency than they did in a 14-12 June.

Boston is 3-7 in their last 10 games, including a season-high six-game losing streak (June 21-27). Inconsistent offensive production has been severely detrimental; the Red Sox scored no more than three runs in five of their last 10, all losses. Two of their three wins in this span were blowouts: a 15-1 drubbing of the Blue Jays on Saturday, and Monday night’s series opener with the Reds.
