Tracking map: Will potential Hurricane Milton hit Miami? Here’s the latest path
Miami-Dade County is in the forecast cone for a tropical depression which formed in the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday and is expected to become Hurricane Milton on a track toward Florida.
The potential path is wide and the forecast strength still uncertain. A slower storm would likely be stronger and further north and a faster storm would be weaker and hit further south. Regardless of development, heavy and prolonged rains are expected across the Florida peninsula.
