Karen Read murder trial: Watch Day 19 live
The 19th day of testimony in the Karen Read murder trial will get underway at Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham at 9 a.m.
Read, 44, of Mansfield, faces charges of second-degree murder, motor vehicle manslaughter and leaving the scene of a collision causing the death of O’Keefe, a 16-year Boston Police officer when he died at age 46. Prosecutors say that she struck him with her SUV in the early hours of Jan. 23, 2022, following an argument and a night of heavy drinking and left him to die in a snowstorm.
This will be a three-day week, with court not in session on Tuesday and Friday. Last week had only one day of testimony, but with seven witnesses called it was the most densely packed day in the trial so far.
This is a developing story.
