Mauritius Full Year 2023: Suzuki distant leader, Mazda (+82%) and BMW (+50.3%) shine in record market
Mazda sales are up 82% year-on-year in 2023.
The Mauritius new car market soars 16.5% year-on-year in 2023 to a record 14,295 units, beating the previous record of 12,271 established just last year. Suzuki (+25%) tightens its grip on the brands ranking, ascending to 20.4% share vs. 12.6% for the #2, Toyota (+7.7%) trailing the market. Kia (+20.5%) is also in solid shape at #3 whereas Nissan (+5.6%) is weak but overtakes a freefalling Hyundai (-19.6%) to snap the 4th place. Mazda (+82%) and BMW (+50.3%) lodge the biggest gains in the Top 10 with Mercedes (+23.5%) also very dynamic. In contrast Renault (-15.4%) and Mitsubishi (-14.3%) struggle.
