Bahrain Full Year 2023: Toyota Land Cruiser reclaims lead in market up 24%

The Bahraini new light vehicle market soars 24% year-on-year in 2023 top 29,862 units. Brand leader Toyota (+34.9%) manages to outpace the market to improve its share from 32.2% last year to 35%. On the contrary Nissan (-2.1%) goes completely against the overall growth with a small decline. Hyundai (+30.2%) is solid at #3 while Lexus (+69.5%) advances two spots to #4, unsettling Isuzu (-4.5%) and MG (+22.7%) both losing share year-on-year. Mazda (+64.3%) shines at #8 with Changan (+24.2%) matching the market at #7. Notice also Geely (+256.9%) euphoric at #13 vs. #20 in 2022.
Toppled by the Nissan Sunny in 2022, the Toyota Land Cruiser (+42.7%) resumes its domination this year, lodging a 9th annual win in the past 10 years. The Sunny (-14.9%) is relegated to 2nd place while the Toyota Hilux (+87.8%) is up four spots to round out the podium. The Toyota Yaris Sedan is up 61.3% to #4 ahead of the Isuzu D-Max (-3.4%).
