Lebanon Full Year 2023: Nissan up 229.7%, places Sunny at #1

21,427 new light vehicles hit Lebanese roads in 2023, a splendid 25% year-on-year uptick. Toyota (+34.6%) outpaces the market to lift its share from 32.8% to 35.3%. Nissan (+229.7%) is the most spectacular carmaker in market this year, more than tripling its sales to land at #2 with 17.4% share vs. just 6.6% a year ago. As a result Mitsubishi (-6.1%) is knocked down to #3 with 11.4% share vs. 15.2% a year ago. Renault (+3.5%) remains in 4th place above Kia (-12.3%) in difficulty. Land Rover (+103.5%) and Lexus (+62.4%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10.
Model-wise, the Nissan Sunny takes the lead with 8.4% share, distancing the Toyota Land Cruiser at 7.2% and the Toyota Hilux at 5.7%. The Mitsubishi L200 diesel is #4, with the petrol variant at #9. The Toyota Corolla, Nissan Patrol and X-Trail follow while the Toyota C-HR and Kia Picanto round out the Top 10.
