2024 Tony Awards: ‘Stereophonic’ and ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ lead nominations
Amid a particularly crowded Broadway season of new plays and musicals, “Stereophonic” and “Hell’s Kitchen” rose to the top as the most-nominated productions for the 2024 Tony Awards on Tuesday.

Announced live on CBS and on YouTube by Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Renée Elise Goldsberry, the nominations kicked off with the best musical category, in which “Hell’s Kitchen” is joined by “Illinoise,” “The Outsiders,” “Suffs” and “Water for Elephants.” The best play category includes “Jaja’s African Hair Braiding,” “Prayer for the French Republic,” “Stereophonic,” “Mary Jane” and “Mother Play.”
