Boston police officer shot in Dorchester, injuries non-life-threatening
A Boston police officer was shot Monday night in Dorchester and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, the Herald was told.
The report came in around 9:30 p.m. of shots fired on Esmond Street near Franklin Park. The Herald was told by a source that the officer may have been hit in the bullet-proof vest possibly saving him from serious injury.
He was quickly taken to Boston Medical Center and according to multiple reports a suspect is in custody.
Police were responding to a domestic call, according to media reports, and BMC is now surrounded by fellow BPD officers.
