Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony highlight Red Sox Spring Breakout roster

Next weekend MLB will put a spotlight on the game’s top prospects as part of a series of Spring Breakout showcase games, and Thursday morning the league announced the Red Sox roster.

Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony and Kyle Teel will headline the Red Sox prospects, who will face off against the Atlanta Braves prospects on Saturday, March 16 at JetBlue Park. The Red Sox roster also includes big league contender Ceddanne Rafaela, last year’s other top draft picks Nazzan Zanetello, Antonio Anderson and Kristian Campbell, and top recent international prospects like Miguel Bleis and Yoeilin Cespedes.

All told the Red Sox Spring Breakout roster includes 21 of the organization’s top 30 prospects according to MLB Pipeline. Here is the compete roster.
