AMELIA BARRON

ANDOVER

The Merrimack Valley Conference Div. 1 Swimmer of the Year was the North sectional champion in the 100-yard butterfly and second in the 200-yard freestyle. A week later at the Div. 1 championships, the junior won the state title in the 100-yard breaststroke and finished second in the 200-yard IM. The three-time All-Conference selection swims as part of Phoenix Swimming.

ALLISON BOYNTON

MILTON

The freshman won the Div. 2 state title in the 100-yard butterfly, while coming in third in the 200-yard IM and seventh as part of the 400-yard freestyle relays. The honor roll student is a member of the ski team. In the offseason, Boynton competes as part of the Weymouth Club Waves Swim Team.

JULIA LEMBO

MALDEN CATHOLIC

The freshman was undefeated in dual meets during the season, earning Catholic Conference All-Star honors. She won the North sectional title in the 200-IM (2:13.66), then was the Div. 1 state champion in the 100-butterfly (58.72). The honors student trains with Charles River Aquatics.

ANNA MCGREW

WELLESLEY

The senior captain was the Div. 2 state champion in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle. She was also a key to state championships in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relays. McGrew tied a school record in the 50-yard freestyle (23.50). The National Honor Society member will swim at Middlebury.

ELLE MICHAUD

WINCHESTER

The senior was the Div. 1 state champion in both the 200-yard IM and 500-yard freestyle, establishing personal bests in both winning efforts. As a junior, Michaud was the Div. 2 state champion in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle. A member of the National Honor Society as well as the Spanish Honor Society, Michaud trains at the North Shore Swim Club.

ISABELA TEIXEIRA

ACTON-BOXBORO

Teixeira won the North sectional title in the 50-yard freestyle as well as the 100-yard freestyle. A week later, Teixeira captured the Div. 1 state title in the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard IM. She holds the school record in the 200-yard IM. The honor roll student trains in the offseason at United Swim Club.

ROBYN TONOMURA-MACDONALD

BELMONT

The junior diver was the North sectional champion (463.55), then matched that feat at the Div. 1 state championships a week later (459.35) to cap an undefeated season. A captain-elect for next year, Tonomura-MacDonald is a member of the National Honor Society. In the offseason, she trains with Infinite Diving.

HANNAH WIECZOREK

NORTH ANDOVER

The Merrimack Valley Conference Swimmer of the Year, the senior was the North sectional champion in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke, then replicated the feat a week later at the Div. 2 state championships. A member of the National Honor Society and French National Honor Society, Wieczorek will swim at the University of Richmond.

ACTON-BOXBORO

200-YARD MEDLEY RELAY

The foursome of Caroline Tyrrell, Katie Crowley, Isabela Texeira and Katherine Baxter captured the North sectional 200-yard medley relay title in a time of 1:51.74. They went on to win the Div. 1 state title in that event, posting a time of 1:51.59. Crowley took a second in the 100-yard breaststroke at the states and trains with the United Swim Club. Tyrrell was second in the 100-yard backstroke and sixth in the 200yard freestyle in the Div. 1 state meet, while Baxter was ninth in the 100-yard backstroke at the state meet.

WELLESLEY

200-FREESTYLE RELAY

The quartet of Elaine Cheng, Alexandra Loo, Audrey Sau and Anna McGrew won the 200-freestyle relay at the South sectionals with a winning time of 1:39.74. A week later, they dominated at the Div. 2 state meet, capturing a state title in 1:40.44, more than three seconds faster than the runner-up. Sau turned in a solid fourth place finish in the 100-yard butterfly at the state meet, while Loo was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle and second in the 100-yard breaststroke. Cheng placed in the top six in both the 50-yard and 100-yard freestyle at the state meet.

WELLESLEY

200-MEDLEY RELAY

The unit of Elena Dudkina, Alexandra Loo, Tracey Peng and Elaine Cheng took the 200-yard medley relay at the South sectionals in a time of 1:51.96. Dudkina placed second in Div. 2 in the 100-yard backstroke and in the past, placed second in the 500-yard freestyle. Peng was part of a winning 400-yard freestyle relay team.

NEEDHAM

400-FREESTYLE RELAY

The foursome of Julian Shulman, Chloe Wutkich, Isabela Bobocea and Lucy Mackey won both the South sectional and Div. 1 state titles in the 400-yard freestyle relay. The Fairfield-bound Wutkich set school record in the 100-yard backstroke and is a member of the National Honor Society. Mackey was the Bay State Conference champion in the 50-yard freestyle, a member of the National Honor Society and plans to swim at Colby. Bobocea was the South sectional champion in the 200-yard IM and is a member of the National Honor Society. The Connecticut College-bound Shulman is also a member of the National Honor Society and placed in the top five in the 100-yard butterfly at both the sectional and state championships.
