Wales (UK) Full Year 2023: Ford Puma #1 for third straight year, Vauxhall Mokka up to #2

Based on data by SMMT, the Welsh new car market is up 16% year-on-year in 2023 to 66,761 units. Keep in mind this is a zoom in by nation with the overall UK market covered in our UK Full Year 2023 update. The Ford Puma (+58.2%) lodges a third consecutive year in pole position, improving its market share from 3.4% to 4.6% and tightening its grip on the charts. The Vauxhall Mokka (+63.6%) is even more dynamic and soars seven spots on last year to #2. The MG ZS (+24.3%) stays in third place. The Nissan Qashqai (+23.5%) overtakes the Ford Fiesta (+20.8%) and MG HS (+15.3%) to rank #4 while the Kia Sportage, Nissan Juke and Hyundai Tucson enter the Top 10.
