Dantae Clark finished with 19 points, 17 rebounds and eight blocks as Mashpee defeated Hull 80-64 in South Shore League play.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hannah Kuriscak dropped 29 points with nine triples as Apponequet (2-1) rolled to a 56-30 nonleague win over Middleboro.

Hailey Garcia put up 14 points, and Mia Fougere and Alanna McDonald scored 11 points each for Mashpee (2-0) in a 49-30 South Shore League victory over Hull.

BOYS HOCKEY

Pope Francis head boys hockey coach Brian Foley received a one-year suspension from the MIAA for violation of Rule 40 which has to do with out-of-season coach-athlete contact limitations.

In a statement from the MIAA, the organization received a complaint from a member school on November 27, After a two-week investigation, the MIAA notified Pope Francis of its result and subsequent punishment on December 11.

Reached by text message, Foley, who led Pope Francis to the Div. 1 state title last year, politely refused comment at the present time. According to a report by Mass Live’s Meredith Perri, who broke the original story, the school plans on appealing the suspension. In the meantime, Daniel Fenton will serve as interim coach.

Pat Murphy secured his hat trick in style, scoring an overtime winner to give Silver Lake (1-0) a 5-4 nonleague win over Bridgewater-Raynham. … Colin McGrail hit the back of the net twice and dished an assist as North Quincy (1-0) rolled to a 6-1 win over Blue Hills. … Dominic Reidy struck for a hat trick, and Daniel Menyalkin scored two goals as St. John’s (Shrewsbury) (2-0) cruised to an 8-0 win over Mt. St. Charles (Rhode Island).

Ryan Davis tallied the deciding goal with 1:12 left for Nantucket (1-1) in a 6-4 Cape and Islands League win over Nauset.

Ben Sylvester (three goals, assist) and Finn Kelly (goal, three assists) finished with four points each as Archbishop Williams (1-0) topped St. Mary’s (Lynn) 7-4 in Catholic Central League action.

Kathryn Freeman lit the lamp twice, and freshmen Cali Daley and Nora Shea potted their first goals as Braintree (1-0) bested Newton North 7-0 in the Bay State Conference. … Noelle Gorham registered her first goal, and Molly Murphy tacked on the other score, while Lila Chamoun made 23 saves as Milton (2-0) defeated Needham 2-0.

Alana Dolan (goal) and Parker Kathan (two goals) scored for Medfield (1-1) during a 3-2 Tri-Valley League win against Norton. … Danielle O’Neill potted a hat trick for Dedham (2-0) in a 3-0 shutout of Westwood.

In the Cape & Islands League, Maeve Turner finished with two tallies and an assist as Falmouth took down Nauset/Monomoy 5-2.

In MVC/DCL crossover action, Angelisa Cecada and Molly Whittier each registered a hat trick, as Waltham coasted to a 7-0 shutout of Acton-Boxboro.
