Triad program: A representative from the Mound Police Department will give a recap of the Operation Black Cat training exercise beginning at 10 a.m.

Health Fair trip: Transportation will leave at 9:45 a.m. for the Senior Health Fair in Wayzata.
Beginning June 1
Al & Alma’s cruises: Enjoy lunch and a cruise on Lake Minnetonka on Mondays from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. through Aug. 31. Tickets can be purchased at the center. $15.

Poker walk: Celebrate National Senior Health and Fitness Day with a walk to various Hopkins locations beginning at 10 a.m. At each location, pick up a playing card, return to the Hopkins Activity Center and a prize will be given out for the best poker hand. Registration required.

Bar-b-que: Enjoy the strolling accordion music of Mark Stillman, and grilled burgers and brats beginning at 1:15 a.m. $6.

EnhanceFitness classes: The group exercise classes feature cardiovascular conditioning, strength training and balance routines that help improve flexibility, bone density and stability. Group meets on Tuesday and Thursdays at 10:15 a.m. Free for UCare members or $32-$42 for 10 classes.
Free blood pressure checks: First and third Tuesdays of the month. Appointments aren’t needed.
Fitness focus: Join us for group exercise with Ben Walker, certified exercise trainer, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 a.m. Bring hand weights. Try your first class free. $32-$42 for 10 classes.
Intermediate dance lessons: Instructor Dodee Davis will offer lessons on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. Pre-requisite beginning line dance lessons. Try your first class free. $5-$6.
Nintendo Wii: It’s not just for the kids. Wii games promote social interaction, fun and exercise. Try bowling Tuesdays at 10 a.m. Call the center to register.
Olympus digital camera: The camera can be checked out for a week with a deposit and identification. Training available Thursdays, 9-11 a.m. Call for information.
Open computer lab: Wednesdays from 9 a.m.-noon. Personal tutoring at your level. Bring your questions. Free-$1 per hour.
Volleyball for men: At 10:30 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Camaraderie, exercise and some friendly competition, followed by a cup of coffee and conversation. The cost is $24 annually. Call the center to register.

Nintendo Wii training: Those interested in learning how to play this game can take part in a one-on-one training session. Registration required.

500 card group: The group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m.
Digital camera help: One-on-one help with learning how to use your digital camera with your computer. Appointments are held on Tuesdays starting at 9 a.m. and sessions last half an hour. Call the center to make an appointment.
Garden club: Meets the second Monday of the month at 1 p.m.
Household and Outside Maintenance for Elderly (H.O.M.E.): A program for Minnetonka residents ages 60 and over. Volunteers and paid workers are available to help with yard and house clean-ups. Call Valerie on Monday or Wednesday afternoons from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at 952-939-8363.
Men’s discussion group: This non-religious/non-political discussion group meets from 10 a.m.-noon on Mondays.
Nintendo Wii: Bowling, tennis and golf is played on the large screen using wireless hand-held controls. Wii play will take place Tuesdays from 9-11 a.m. in the Community Room.
Over 50 and Fit: Classes on muscle strengthening, flexibility, endurance and increasing lung capacity are offered from 9-10 a.m. Mondays,?Wednesdays and Fridays.
Scrapbooking club: This group meets on Mondays from 1-3 p.m.
Senior Chorale: Choir meets Wednesdays in the Purgatory Room at 10 a.m.
