ROUNDUP

WRESTLING

Shawsheen captured the George Bossi Lowell Holiday title, roaring to victory with 222.5 points. Fairfield Warde (Conn.) was second with 213.5, followed by Haverhill (192.5), Milford (179.5) and St. John’s Prep (173.5).

Leading the way for the Rams were the Tildsley brothers. Sidney Tildsley won the 144-pound title by defeating Milford’s Aidan Baum 4-1, while James Tildsley took home the 150-pound crown by pinning Antonio Arguello of Newtown, Conn. in 1:23.

Haverhill had three individual champions, starting with Cael Wood, who defeated Nick Desisto of Tewksbury, 5-0. Shea Morris handled hometown favorite Emmett Logan of Lowell 10-1 in the 138-pound final, while Matt Harrold pinned Tewksbury’s Manny Mengata in 1:32.

On the girls side, a pair of Lowell wrestlers took home titles as Amada Moundele pinned Stella Christopher of Agawam in 4:36 to claim the 165-pound title, while teammate Amelyiah Martinez beat Eglis Tuarenza 9-1 in the 235-pound championship match.

Bridgewater-Raynham also had a pair of winners. Olivia Polansky pinned Lillie Normandie of Greater Lowell in 1:39 to win the 100-pound championship, while Kennedie Davis was the 114-pound titlist with a 11-2 win over Brooke Lightfoot of Tewksbury.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Elijah Grant scored 23 points and Joshua Jenkins added another 20 as Dennis Yarmouth topped New Mission, 66-63, in a nonleague overtime game. … Jake McSharry had a double-double with 17 points and 16 rebounds as Abington (2-0) topped Weymouth 72-54. … Cole Fletcher scored 17 points as Milton defeated New Heights 56-42.

In a Cape and Islands League game, Vallon Jeanty recorded 20 points and Ethan Jarrett added 16 points to lead Nantucket to a 64-59 victory over Martha’s Vineyard.

BOYS HOCKEY

Owen Considine netted a hat trick, including the game-winner in overtime, as Lynnfield defeated Essex Tech, 3-2, in a Cape Ann League game.

Cam McGonagle scored the game-winner in overtime as St. Mary’s (3-0) edged Archbishop Williams 2-1 in overtime in the Catholic Central League.

In the Dartmouth Holiday Tournament, Pat Ryan, Chris Ryan and Luke Tracey each scored twice as Whitman-Hanson toppled Oliver Ames 11-1.

In the Prenda Cup, Nathan Peck and Ryan Abreau had two tallies apiece as Apponequet tripled up DIman 6-2.

GIRLS HOCKEY

In the MVC/DCL, Freshman Rylan Collins made 15 saves and Abby Walles netted the game-winner as Andover doubled up Boston Latin 4-2. … Lucy Irwin had a hat trick as Central Catholic blanked Concord-Carlisle 4-0.

Cassie Ling scored five times as Braintree topped Needham 8-1 in Bay State Conference action.
