Loons will return to Coachella tournament in California in February
Head coach Eric Ramsay’s first full preseason leading Minnesota United will include a trip to California.
MNUFC said Tuesday the club will return to the Coachella Valley Invitational at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., in February.
The Loons schedule includes three friendlies: Feb. 9 vs. St. Louis City; Feb. 12 vs. Los Angeles Galaxy; and Feb. 15 vs. New York City FC.
Before Ramsay took over in March, United went 1-1-1 in the Coachella tournament last February, beating USL Championship team Phoenix Rising 2-1, losing 4-0 to Chicago Fire and drawing 0-0 with Charlotte FC.
Minnesota will open preseason camp in early January.
