David Pastrnak will be in Bruins’ lineup against Winnipeg
David Pastrnak took part in the Bruins’ morning skate in Winnipeg on Tuesday and coach Joe Sacco confirmed that the tam’s leading point man will be in the lineup when the B’s take on the Jets at 8 pm.
Pastrnak was held out of practice on Monday with what Sacco said was an upper body injury with which he was dealing.
The B’s will need him. While the Jets have slowed down from their torrid start – they’re just 4-6 in their last 10 games – they are the best team the B’s have played since the coaching change from Jim Montgomery to Sacco, under whom the B’s are 7-2. They are in the NHL’s top five in goals for, goals against and power play.
Goalie Connor Hellebuyck is 17-5 with a .925 save percentage and 2.14 GAA.
“I think they’re 5-on-5 game is solid both offensively and defensively. They get good goaltending obviously every night and their power play stands out to me, being third in the league, so we’re going to have to be disciplined tonight,” Sacco tole reporters in Winnipeg. “They’re just a team that plays the right way aall the time and that’s why they’ve gotten the results they’ve gotten for the majority of the year.”
This will be the first of a five-game road trip that takes the B’s to Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.
