The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the best-selling car in India in November.

The Indian wholesales market is up 5% year-on-year in November to 351,592. Although shy, the uptick means this is a new November record, eclipsing the previous best of 334,868 established just last year. The year-to-date tally is up 4.1% to 3,966,286, also a new record at this stage of the year.  Maruti Suzuki (+5.3%) matches the market to 40.2% share ahead of Hyundai (-2.4%) soft this month. Tata (+2.2%) reclaims the third spot it holds year-to-date off Mahindra (+15.6%) still very robust. Toyota (+48.8%) and MG (+44.9%) are the most dynamic carmakers in market this month, with Renault (+14.6%) and Jeep (+13.9%) also well above the overall growth rate.

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno (+25.7%) scores its second win of the year after last January but is stuck in 6th place year-to-date vs. #3 over the Full Year 2023. The Hyundai Creta (+30.8%) is also strong at #2, a ranking it now also holds year-to-date vs. #4 last month. The Tata Punch (+7.3%) and Nexon (+2.8%) are more subdued yet still manage positive results. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx (+50.8%), Ertiga (+17.8%) and Vitara Brezza (+11.4%) shine below.
