Pembroke woman struck, killed by car in Hanson
A 76-year-old Pembroke woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Main Street in Hanson.
Hanson Police received a 911 call reporting a struck pedestrian a little bit after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 22 Main St.
Emergency responders at the scene found Donna Mark, 76, of Pembroke, suffering “obvious trauma to her lower extremities” and EMS attempted to have her airlifted when her condition became severe. She was transported to South Shore Hospital instead and was pronounced dead.
The initial stage of the investigation indicates an eastbound driver stopped to allow Mark to cross the street but then she was struck by a white Honda CRV in the other lane, according to the Plymouth District Attorney’s office.
