High school football roundup: Will Wood, Xaverian down Leominster

Will Wood threw three touchdown passes as No. 3 Xaverian (7-3) defeated sixth-seeded Leominster 35-20 in a Div. 1 state quarterfinal football game.

In a Div. 4 quarterfinal, Lawson Foley hauled in five receptions for 141 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also playing a vital role defensively (two interceptions), returning a pick 25 yards for a third score as second-seeded Scituate (9-0) punched its ticket back to the Final Four with a 28-0 romp of No. 10 Wayland.

Jack Luccarelli ran for 134 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries as Norwell (8-2) doubled up Abington 28-14 in a Div. 6 quarterfinal matchup.

Logan Willis ran for 100 yards and accrued six sacks on defense, pairing with two Ben Squarcia touchdown runs and two Dominic Matteodo touchdown passes to lift third-seeded Mashpee (8-2) over No. 6 Amesbury in the Div. 7 quarterfinals.
