2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ Priced Starting at $129,095, Gets 460 Miles of Range

Cadillac’s iconic Escalade has redefined luxury SUVs for decades. Now, with the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, the brand is pushing boundaries once again by entering the high-end electric vehicle (EV) market. This new electric Escalade delivers a range of 460 miles, boasts impressive technology, and comes with a starting price of $129,095. Let’s take a closer look at how Cadillac has transitioned its flagship SUV into an EV powerhouse.

While it shares the Escalade name, the IQ stands apart with its own EV-specific platform and design. It’s not just an electric version of the gas-powered model—it’s an entirely different vehicle. The IQ maintains the bold, imposing look that Escalade fans expect, but with a sleeker, more aerodynamic silhouette. With a 15% lower drag coefficient, the new design promises a more efficient drive without sacrificing its luxurious stance.

Key design elements include:

Cadillac’s signature vertical headlights and taillights
A “crystal shield” in place of a traditional grille
A sloping roofline for a modern, streamlined appearance

Power and Performance

The 2025 Escalade IQ is all about power. Equipped with dual motors, the vehicle delivers up to 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque in Velocity Max mode. Even in Normal mode, it still pushes 680 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque. This means the Escalade IQ can go from 0 to 60 mph in less than five seconds—a remarkable feat for a large luxury SUV.

Other performance highlights include:

8,000 pounds of towing capacity
All-wheel drive standard
Adaptive air suspension with magnetic dampers
Rear-wheel steering for improved maneuverability

Impressive Range and Charging Capabilities

The Cadillac Escalade IQ’s 24-module Ultium battery offers a substantial 460-mile range on a single charge. Thanks to an 800-volt architecture, the IQ can add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes using a 350-kW DC fast charger. Additionally, it supports bidirectional charging, allowing it to power home appliances through GM Energy’s Ultium Home products. For everyday charging, a 240-volt outlet can provide 37 miles of range per hour.

Interior Technology and Comfort

The inside of the Escalade IQ is where luxury and technology truly shine. The SUV features a 55-inch bank of digital screens, including:

A 35-inch screen for the digital instrument cluster and center touchscreen
A 20-inch screen for the front passenger
An additional 11-inch touchscreen on the center console for climate and vehicle controls

Other advanced features include a panoramic fixed-glass roof, power-opening doors, and a high-tech Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit Platform powered by Google-based software. Unfortunately, there’s no support for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, following GM’s recent decision.

Seating is standard for seven passengers, with optional upgrades that push the Escalade IQ’s comfort to new levels. The Executive Second Row package offers heated, cooled, and massaging rear bucket seats, fold-out airline-style tables, and a rear center console equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen. For entertainment, rear passengers enjoy 12.6-inch screens, while the vehicle comes standard with a 19-speaker AKG audio system, with up to 40 speakers available in the premium configurations.

Safety remains a top priority for Cadillac, and the Escalade IQ doesn’t disappoint. The vehicle comes with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system (free for the first three years), along with blind-spot monitoring, automatic parking, and emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection.

Pricing and Models

The Escalade IQ will be available in two trims: Sport and Luxury. Both versions offer unique finishes and materials, with Sport models featuring darkened metal accents, and Luxury models showcasing brushed aluminum. While the base price starts at $129,095, the price can easily rise to over $159,000 with added features like the Executive Second Row package and Level 2 equipment.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ represents a major leap forward for Cadillac in the electric luxury SUV space. With its impressive range, cutting-edge technology, and luxury-focused interior, the IQ is set to challenge competitors and keep Cadillac at the forefront of innovation. As the industry shifts toward electric vehicles, the Escalade IQ is a clear statement that Cadillac is ready to lead the charge.
