In a Dual County League game, Max Dresens rushed for 199 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead Wayland to a 28-7 win over Lincoln-Sudbury. … Thomas Bury and Connor Sones each scored two rushing TDs as Concord-Carlisle defeated Newton South 42-19.

Henry Beuttler ran for a pair of touchdowns to lead Swampscott (3-2) to a 27-6 win over Gloucester in the Northeastern Conference. … Alvin Laurent ran for two scores as Salem (3-2) defeated Saugus, 21-0.

In a nonleague matchup, Quinn Jordan finished with four points (two goals, two assists) and Megan Dwyer added a pair of goals as Sandwich (13-0) blanked Middleboro, 7-0. … Addie Finlaw and Karis Botelho scored as Somerset Berkley (10-1) defeated Durfee, 2-0. … Kate Schneider had three goals and an assist as Walpole beat Westwood, 5-0.

In nonleague play, Mya Ranieri scored twice and Hannah Carr collected four assists as Braintree (6-6-1) blanked Archbishop Williams 5-0. … Kylie Fuller scored twice to lift West Bridgewater to a 2-0 win over East Bridgewater.

Kiersten Wiggins had two goals and an assist as North Reading routed Pentucket 8-0 in Cape Ann League action. … Alexis Greenblott scored a hat trick and Aoife Tykulsky added four assists to lead  Newburyport to a 5-0 victory over Triton. … Georgia Wilson scored a pair and Tessa Hunt finished with two assists as Hamilton-Wenham defeated Rockport, 4-0.

In the Patriot League, Cam Carthas and Anna Egan each netted a goal as Hanover defeated Plymouth South, 2-1.

In a Merrimack Valley Conference game, Sarah Tressler scored a hat trick as Central Catholic defeated Dracut, 3-0. … Courtnee Pickles racked up four goals as Methuen defeated North Andover, 5-2.

In CMass action Riley Mitza notched her 100th career goal as she finished with a hat trick and an assist to lead Tyngsboro to a 4-0 victory over Quabbin.

VOLLEYBALL

In the Hockomock League, Julia Leonardo and Addie Shelton each notched 12 kills as Attleboro swept Taunton 3-0.

BASKETBALL

Methuen named Kevin Barboza as the school’s new girls basketball coach. A former standout at Shea High School in Rhode Island, Barboza went on to Eastern Connecticut State University where he was the team captain his senior year and finished his career with 1,472 points. As a coach, Kevin has been a head basketball coach at Woonsocket High School and at Manchester High School in Rhode Island. For the past four years, Barboza has served as an assistant coach at Masconomet.
