Man fatally shot in St. Paul’s Payne-Phalen ID’d as 25-year-old

A man who was fatally shot in St. Paul over the weekend has been identified as a 25-year-old.

Police said they’re continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the shooting of Christ Hae, of St. Paul, and no one was under arrest as of Monday morning.

Officers responded to the Payne-Phalen neighborhood, in the 900 block of York Avenue, on a report of a shooting about 2:25 p.m. Saturday. They found Christ Hae had been shot multiple times, and St. Paul Fire Department medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The homicide was the first of the year in St. Paul.
