Bruins make initial cuts to camp roster
The Bruins made their first cuts on Sunday and there were no surprises.
Those headed to Providence are Joey Abate, Luke Cavallin, Ty Cheveldayoff, Jackson Edward, Colin Felix, Ty Gallagher, Loke Johansson, Jake Schmaltz, Max Wanner and Simon Zajicek.
The P-Bruins training camp opens on Monday.
Judging from the first cuts, several jobs are still up for grabs, as perceived bubble players Fraser Minten, Matt Poitras, John Beecher, Fabian Lysell and Marat Khusnutdinov remain in the Boston camp. The makeup of the third line still has to be determined.
The B’s continue their preseason schedule when they host the Philadelphia Flyers at the Garden on Monday (7 pm).
