Wild unveil 25th anniversary throwback sweater
For their 25th anniversary season, the Minnesota Wild are throwing it back to the days of Darby Hendrickson, Manny Fernandez and Scott Pellerin for a quartet of games this season.
On Thursday, the Wild unveiled their special anniversary jersey, a replica of the sweaters they wore in their inaugural season of 2000-01. It features the Wild primary logo on the front, the team’s original script and font, and gold accents on the white sweater. It went on sale at the Hockey Lodge at Grand Casino Arena on Thursday morning, in advance of their preseason home opener.
The Wild will wear the anniversary sweater for home games on Oct. 28 (Winnipeg), Nov. 4 (Nashville), Dec. 21 (Colorado) and Jan. 24 (Florida). The team is encouraging fans to wear white for those games as well.
