Turkiye August 2025: Tesla smashes all records in all-time high market

The Tesla Model Y is by far the best-selling vehicle in Turkiye in August.

New light vehicle sales in Turkiye advance 12.8% year-on-year in August to 101,650 units. This is a new August record and the first time above the 100,000 unit mark. The year-to-date tally is up 7.2% to 817,345, also a new record at this stage of the year. Renault (+8.4%) confirms it is the favourite of Turkish customers with 10.4% share vs. 9.3% for Fiat (-15%). Tesla (+731.4%) delivers the performance of the month, smashing all its records at #3 with 8,730 sales and 8.6% share (previous bests #6 with 7,235 sales and 6.1% share last June). Volkswagen (+8.1%) is up but trails the market while Ford (-15.2%) dives and completes the Top 5. Toyota (+93.9%), Hyundai (+23.2%) and Citroen (+22.2%) shine below. Further down, BYD (+3668.1%) ranks #13, Togg (+107.8%) is at #21 and KG Mobility (+95.5%) at #22.

Over in the models charts (Passenger Cars only), the Tesla Model Y (+731.4%) is by far the best-seller with 10.6% share, signing its second win in the past three months. The Renault Megane Sedan (+62.3%) is relegated to 2nd place, a rank it now also holds year-to-date, passing the Fiat Egea Sedan (-30.7%). The Renault Clio (-3.1%) repeats at #4 but stays in the YTD lead. Spectacularly, the next 13 models all beat the market with astounding gains. The VW T-Roc (+275.6%), Opel Corsa (+169.1%), Toyota Corolla (+161%), Togg T10X (+107.8%), Peugeot 3008 (+106.6%), Fiat Egea Cross (+81.2%) and Dacia Sandero Stepway (+70.7%) are the most dynamic.
