Lucas: No decency in Democratic party
It’s a wonder crazed Democrats did not attack President Donald Trump for bringing home the two U.S. astronauts that Joe Biden left hanging in space for nine months.
They hate him so much that they could have taunted him for landing them on water instead of on a smooth airfield runway.
Why not? Lunatic progressives have attacked him for everything else, from deporting violent criminal illegal immigrants that Joe Biden let into the country to Elon Musk cutting fraud, waste and abuse in the bloated government bureaucracy.
The Democrats have been so wrong on so many issues, that it would have come as no surprise if they opposed the return of U.S. Astronauts Suni Williams and Barry Wilmore because it was Trump and Musk, with his SpaceX Dragon rocket, who brought them home.
If Joe Biden were around, they’d probably still be up there.
After all, according to Trump and Musk, Biden declined an offer from Musk to bring them home while he was still president. Maybe he forgot.
But perhaps deranged left-wing losers will now burn and trash SpaceX Dragon rockets instead of Teslas.
The rescue mission only took place after Trump asked SpaceX founder Musk to speed up the return of the astronauts. Trump openly blamed Biden for keeping them up there.
Since Musk’s new SpaceX capsule was not ready for the mission, Musk replaced it with a used capsule which speeded up the return of the astronauts.
While Trump and Musk got some faint praise from the left-wing media for the remarkable return of the two astronauts, along with fellow passengers Nick Hague of NASA and Russian Alexnder Gorbunov, the anti-Trump coverage was quite noticeable.
For instance, there was hardly a mention in the media of the gratitude that Wilmore and Williams showered on Trump and Musk during a media availability in space just before their return.
Astronaut Williams, speaking for Wilmore, said they were “thankful” to Trump and Musk for launching the effort to bring them home. “We support our nation’s leaders and are thankful for them,” Williams said.
Outside of Fox News, hardly any media outlet used the quote or the video in their stories about their recovery from space.
The Associated Press, whose stories go around the globe, also called the site of the SpaceX landing capsule the Gulf of Mexico rather than the Gulf of America.
Trump renamed the Gulf the Gulf of America by executive order. He has banned AP reporters from White House events for its refusal to call the gulf by its new name.
The Wall Street Journal, struggling to work around the renaming controversy, simply reported the landing capsule “splashing down in the waters not far from Tallahassee, Fla.”
The successful return of the astronauts was a big win for Trump, as was him getting Russian President Vladimir Putin to a pause in strikes against infrastructure targets in Ukraine as a first step to bring about a cease-fire.
But Trump’s successes came in a week when he also had to battle three woke and activist U.S. district court judges seeking to thwart his presidential authority.
Judge James E. Boasberg of Washington and Judge Theodore D. Chuang of Maryland were appointed by Barack Obama and the third, Judge Ana Reyes of Washington was appointed by Biden.
All three acted as though they were an unelected, self-appointed trio running the country.
Boasberg blocked Trump from deporting violent criminal illegal immigrants after two planeloads of them were sent to prisons in El Salvador. Boasberg failed to get the planes to turn around and bring back the criminals so they could commit more violent crimes.
Chuang ordered Trump and DOGE to halt work in dismantling USAID, a Democrat-controlled patronage haven that Musk has charged with waste, fraud and abuse while recommending the firing of thousands.
And Judge Reyes ruled that Trump’s order to exclude transgender troops from military service likely violates their constitutional rights.
The only people the activist judges never seem to protect are the average, law-abiding, taxpaying Americans who are victimized by the violent criminal illegal immigrants.
Go, Trump.
