Fishermen off Massachusetts coast catch dead body wrapped, in a state of decomposition
Fishermen reportedly caught a dead body that was wrapped and in a state of decomposition off the Bay State coast last week, according to investigators.
Massachusetts State Police assigned to Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden’s office, along with the U.S. Coast Guard, responded on Friday to a fishing vessel in Boston that reported pulling in a body in its nets.
The fishermen caught the dead body about 40 miles off the Massachusetts coast.
“The body, which was wrapped and in a state of decomposition, is now with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy purposes,” the Suffolk DA’s Office said in a statement.
