St. Luke Church condemns FBI raids on peace activists’ homes
St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Minnetonka joined with other peace and justice groups by approving a resolution during the church’s policy-setting group condemning the Sept. 24, 2010, FBI raids on the homes of 14 peace activists in Minneapolis and other cities.
“Our mission here at St. Luke,” said Pastor Gwin Pratt, “is to be ‘a joyful, inclusive and compassionate community on a spiritual journey seeking to do justice, make peace, act mercifully, and walk humbly with God.’ Doing justice and making peace means speaking out against government policies that result in oppression, injustice and killing.”
