Royston hired as Shakopee’s new assistant AD

Shakopee has a new assistant activities director as they have hired Kim Royston to the position.

Royston comes to Shakopee from the Robbinsdale School District where he was the middle school dean and athletic director intern.

Royston has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Minnesota as well as his K-12 principal’s license from St. Cloud State University.

Royston played football at the University of Wisconsin and then transferred to the University of Minnesota for the 2009-2011 seasons.

He takes over the position as assistant activities director for departing Trey Davis, who resigned after the 2016-17 school year.
