Gophers’ coach Winston DeLattiboudere headed to Arizona Cardinals
Gophers defensive line coach Winston DeLattiboudere will take the same job with the Arizona Cardinals, a source confirmed to Pioneer Press on Sunday.
DeLattiboudere, a former U player from 2015-19, has been considered an up-and-coming coach over the last few years. In January 2023, the Baltimore native returned to Minnesota as D-line coach and newcomer coordinator. Last January, he was promoted to assistant head coach. Last year, he was part of the American Football Coaches Association’s leadership institute for 35 coaches under the age of 35.
DeLattiboudere, who is considered a high-quality recruiter, coached Jah Joyner and Danny Striggow, two NFL prospects who participated in the Senior Bowl on Saturday.
The Gophers are expected to search internally for the next D-Line coach, with Dennis Dottin-Carter a potential candidate in the hiring process, the Pioneer Press understands.
The Cardinals defense is coordinated by former Gophers linebacker Nick Rallis. The Edina native has been in that role since 2023 after stints with the Vikings and Eagles. DeLattiboudere will now join his former U teammate in the NFC West.
After graduating from the U in 2019, DeLattiboudere held coaching roles at three schools: Akron (2022), Oregon (2021) and Charlotte (2020).
The news was first reported by 247 Sports.
