Sunday’s high school roundup/scores: Stoneham tops Triton to capture the Viking Holiday Classic

Kordell Philemon led the way with 17 points, while Tony Dean and Weston Bunnell added 13 points apiece as the Stoneham (5-0) boys basketball team captured the Viking Holiday Classic with a 64-41 win over Triton.

Jacon Klass scored a game-high 31 points as Beverly (5-2) defeated Lawrence 53-40 in the seventh place game at the Commonwealth Motors Christmas Classic. … Javin Lopez scored 25 points as Central Catholic defeated North Andover 74-65 in the third-place game.

Ryan Dupuy scored 15 points as Saugus defeated Northeast 72-34 in the consolation game of the Viking Holiday Hoop Classic.

Kingston Maxwell had 22 points, 13 rebounds and five assists as Abington (4-1) rolled to a 77-56 win over Weymouth in the consolation game of the Adams Tournament.

Andrew Rivera scored 38 points as Milford outlasted Burncoat 95-93 in overtime to capture the Milford Tournament title.

Girls basketball

Caroline Arruda and Josie Ellwood each scored 11 points as Marshfield (3-0) defeated Hingham 47-41 in the Patriot League.

Kayla Dunlap poured in 13 points as Natick defeated Pentucket 46-21 to claim third place in the Commonwealth Motor Christmas Classic.

Tournament MVP Sophia Gallivan had 19 points, 11 rebounds and four assists as North Reading (5-0) defeated Malden Catholic 42-36 to win the North Reading Holiday Invitational.

Molly Trahan earned tournament MVP honors as she scored 21 points to give Reading (4-1) a 49-40 win over Arlington Catholic to win the Friends of Reading Basketball Tournament.

Girls hockey

Georgia Murray’s second goal of the game with 43 seconds left gave Bishop Feehan a 4-3 win over Milton in the Tenney Cup. … Elizabeth Stutzman scored the game’s only goal as Sandwich edged Archbishop Williams, 1-0. … Caroline Doherty had a hat trick as Hingham blanked Malden Catholic, 3-1.
