Downtown Cava restaurant robbed at gunpoint
The popular downtown Cava restaurant downtown was robbed at gunpoint Sunday night as an employee was closing the business, Boston Police said.
At about 10:34 p.m. Sunday night, police officers downtown responded to a radio call that there was an armed robbery in progress at the Cava restaurant location at 125 Summer St., a BPD spokesperson said Monday.
At the scene, the officers found a victim who stated he was robbed at gunpoint while he was closing the restaurant, Boston Police said. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the business and fled on foot.

No arrests had been made as of Monday morning, BPD said, and the investigation is ongoing.
Cava is a Mediterranean restaurant chain with locations across the U.S., including 13 listed in Massachusetts.
