Crime Briefs: Boston Police issue new most wanted list
Following the arrest just days ago of one fugitive from the list, the Boston Police Department has updated its slate of its most wanted suspects.
Christopher Anderson, 39, of Quincy, was arrested in the area of 88 Bailey Street on Thursday afternoon. He had been wanted on numerous charges including aggravated assault and battery, mayhem and armed robbery.
On Saturday, the BPD issued a fresh slate of wanted fugitives.
They are, in order of appearance on the department’s poster: Zakai Occean, for armed and masked robbery; Fernelis Bigelow-Lighty, for larceny from a building and receiving stolen property; Alan Lewis, for murder; Dwayne Gaines, for larceny from a building; Lee Kelly, for assault and batter with a dangerous weapon; and Ryan Hardaway, for assault with a dangerous weapon.
More wanted suspects
The BPD also issued a notice that it was looking for two men who they suspect of breaking and entering a Shell gas station on the 1600-block of Tremont Street on Monday.
They describe the first suspect as a black male in his late teens to early 20s and of average height — 5-foot-9 to five-foot-11 — of thin build. They believe him to have been wearing “a black jacket, white face mask, black pants, white sneakers with a yellow tab on the back” and a “distinct green, white or silver, and purple bracelet on his left wrist”
The second suspect’s physical description is the same. They say he was wearing a “black jacket, grey hoodie, green camouflage face mask, grey sweatpants, and black & white sneakers” with an apparent injury to his left wrist.
Police ask that anyone who recognizes the men to call detectives at (617) 343-4275 or submit information anonymously to the CrimeStoppers tip line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS (8477) or texting the word TIP to CRIME (27463).
