Recent Patriots first-round pick won’t make season debut Sunday vs. Cardinals
GLENDALE, Ariz. — Patriots offensive lineman Cole Strange’s season debut will have to wait.
The 2022 first-round pick is listed among the Patriots’ inactives. Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo had hinted earlier in the week that Strange would be active Sunday against the Cardinals.

Here’s the Patriots’ list of inactives:
QB Joe Milton (3rd QB)
WR Javon Baker (concussion)
G Tyrese Robinson
G Cole Strange
ILB Marte Mapu
Some notes:
Milton can only enter Sunday’s game if Drake Maye and Jacoby Brissett both suffer injuries.
Baker is out with a concussion. Mayo would not specify when Baker suffered the head injury.
Strange was activated off of the PUP list earlier this week. The Patriots will dress LT Vederian Lowe, LG Layden Robinson, C Ben Brown, RG Mike Onwenu, RT Demontrey Jacobs, Lester Cotton, Lecitus Smith and Sidy Sow on the offensive line.
Mapu remains a healthy scratch. The Patriots will play Jabrill Peppers, Kyle Dugger, Dell Pettus, Jaylinn Hawkins and Brenden Schooler over him.
