Pedestrian who died in Maplewood crash ID’d as 17-year-old
A pedestrian who died after he was struck by a vehicle in Maplewood early Monday has been identified by the Minnesota State Patrol as a 17-year-old.
Heriberto Severino-Luna, of Maplewood, was on U.S. 61 near Minnesota 36 about 5:45 a.m. A Kia Sportage driven by a 30-year-old from Maplewood was heading south on U.S. 61 when he hit Severino-Luna.
The driver was not injured and he wasn’t under the influence of alcohol, according to the State Patrol, which is investigating.
