Singapore September 2024: Tesla (+555.6%) surges, Xpeng up to #11
Xpeng ends September just outside the Top 10.
4,125 new cars found a Singaporean buyer in September, a spectacular 71.1% year-on-year surge. The year-to-date volume is now up 48.7% to 30,567. Toyota (+22.2%) and Mercedes (+50%) both trail the market atop the charts but lodge strong share at 18% and 12.8% respectively vs. 16.8 and 12.8% year-to-date. BYD (+202.8%) triples its year-ago volume but drops one spot on August to #3 and has to settle with a poor 10.6% share, way below the 13.2% it holds year-to-date. Tesla (+555.6%), Honda (+175.8%), Kia (+92.2%) and Nissan (+83.7%) also beat the market in the remainder of the Top 10. For its third month of sales, Xpeng is up a further seven spots on August to #11.
