Morocco September 2024: Dacia (+42.4%), Volkswagen (+88.9%) impress

Dacia sales are up 42.4% in Morocco in September.

The Moroccan new light vehicle market is up 22.6% year-on-year to 14,398 sales on slow earthquake-affected year-ago volumes. Passenger Cars surge 25% to 12,684 while Light Commercials edge up 7.3% to 1,714. Year-to-date PC sales are up 3.5% to 109,848. Dacia (+42.4%) tightens its grip on the brands ranking with 27.6% share vs. 26% so far this year. Renault (+11.3%) and Hyundai (+10%) are a lot more shy and can’t keep up with the market growth. Volkswagen (+88.9%), Peugeot (+26.5%) and Citroen (+22.5%) follow, with BMW (+41.5%) and Mercedes (+50.8%) also shining below. Further down, MG (+150%) and BYD (+410%) stand out.
