ROUNDUP

BASEBALL

Conor Crane allowed one earned run in five innings and Ryan Pat earned the save as St. Sebastian’s edged Groton 3-2 in the Independent School League.

Hayden Ruth and Ty Southall combined on a two-hitter as Georgetown (9-0) defeated Essex Tech 11-1 in the Cape Ann League.

In nonleague action, Stephen Madden struck out 10 while going the distance as Abington outslugged Cardinal Spellman 8-1.

Whitman-Hanson got two runs in the top of the ninth from hits by Dan Joyce and Ryan Baker as the Panthers (7-2) outlasted Hingham 3-2 in Patriot League action. … Shane Hackett allowed one hit over five frames while striking out six as Silver Lake blanked Marshfield 10-0. … Cole Hendrickson struck out 11 batters and Thomas Perkins collected three hits as Hanover defeated North Quincy 8-1.

In the Southeastern Conference, Cam Santos threw a one-hitter with nine strikeouts as Bridgewater-Raynham won 5-2 over Brockton.

BOYS LACROSSE

Jonny Halpin (five goals, two assists) recorded his 100th career goal as Abington defeated nonleague opponent Pembroke 15-2. … Jayson Kelleher and Brendan Rosher each had three goals while Nikos Triantafillou added two and Colin Carfagna had five assists as Bridgewater-Raynham defeated Whitman-Hanson 8-5.

In the Northeastern Conference, John Von Barta scored six times as Swampscott rolled to an 18-2 win over Danvers.

Jake Vana (four goals, one assist) and Brendan Powers (3 goals) paced St. John’s Prep (7-0) offensively as the Eagles bested Xaverian 12-9 in Catholic Conference action.

BOYS TENNIS

Arthas Goutham, Griffin Jordan and Ellias Lukie won their matches in straight sets as St. John’s Prep (6-0) defeated Wellesley in a nonleague contest, giving head coach Mark Metropolis his 500th career win at St. John’s Prep.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Sammy Walker, Cassidy Lubeck and Kathryn Commoss each had a hat trick as Marblehead (4-4) rolled to a 13-1 victory over Salem in Northeastern Conference play.

Bailey Lower registered eight goals and three assists, while Emerson Pekarcik added five goals and four assists as Nantucket defeated Cape Cod Academy, 17-5.

SOFTBALL

Delaney Moquin struck out 12 and also went 3-for-4, while Mady Bryan was 4-for-4 as Silver Lake (6-2) shut out Marshfield 12-0 in the Patriot League.

In the Mayflower Athletic Conference, Olivia LaCava and Jolee Anderson each collected three hits while driving in three as Wareham shutout Avon 15-0.
