2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS Returns with Welcomed Updates

Porsche’s eagerly awaited 2025 Cayenne GTS makes a return, flaunting several enticing updates. In the prior year’s revamp of the third-gen Cayenne lineup, the GTS momentarily took a backseat, allowing Porsche to prioritize the rollout of its Turbo and E-Hybrid variants. However, for enthusiasts seeking the pinnacle of driving experience, the Gran Turismo Sport trim, available in standard and Coupe configurations, stands as a testament to Porsche’s commitment to performance and luxury. With the commencement of the 2025 model year, the GTS spearheads the Cayenne lineup, boasting enhanced power and a dash of Cayenne Turbo technology.

Under the hood, a twin-turbocharged, 4.0-liter V8 engine now delivers an additional 40 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque compared to its 2023 counterpart, pushing peak figures to an impressive 493 hp and 487 lb-ft. This power boost places the GTS ahead of the Cayenne S, yet slightly below the Cayenne S E-Hybrid in terms of horsepower. Paired with an eight-speed transmission sending power to all four wheels, the GTS promises sharper performance, especially in Sport mode with its shorter shift times.

Drawing inspiration from the Turbo GT Coupe, engineers have implemented front-axle pivot bearings to enhance turn-in response by subtly adjusting the front wheels’ negative camber. Additionally, a water-cooling circuit borrowed from the Turbo GT aids in maintaining optimal temperatures during prolonged high-performance driving sessions. The GTS also benefits from trim-specific tuning of the air suspension, complemented by a standard torque vectoring rear differential, while Porsche’s new active anti-roll suspension is available as an option.

Externally, the GTS exudes an aura of sophistication with the Sport Design Package now standard across all models. Departing from its predecessor, the new GTS showcases gloss black accents for elements like greenhouse trim, rockers, and fender garnish, while dark bronze exhaust tips add a touch of elegance. For GTS Coupe enthusiasts, the option of three lightweight packages presents an opportunity to shed up to 55 pounds from the SUV’s curb weight, further enhancing performance. Tinted headlights and taillights, along with 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels hiding red brake calipers, complete the captivating exterior aesthetics.

Inside the cabin, the GTS delivers a premium experience with an array of features introduced with the latest Cayenne iteration. Exclusive to the GTS are luxurious suede-adjacent Race Tex upholstery paired with leather and accentuated by red stitching, available in default black or optional Slate Gray and Carmine Red color schemes. Furthermore, Porsche has bolstered the sports seats for enhanced comfort and support during spirited driving sessions.

With pricing starting at $126,985 for the standard Cayenne and $131,495 for the Coupe variant, the 2025 Cayenne GTS represents a significant investment, reflecting the model’s premium enhancements. Orders are currently open, with deliveries anticipated towards the end of the year, ensuring enthusiasts can soon experience the exhilarating performance and refined luxury of Porsche’s latest masterpiece.
