Poland March 2024: Volvo (+50.2%), Mercedes (+45.6%) and Nissan (#10) make themselves noticed

The Volvo XC40 is up to #12 in March.

After gaining 22.5% in January and 19.5% in February, new car sales in Poland drastically reduce their growth to +1.2% and 48,961 units in March. To be fair, March 2023 was up 25.4% on the year prior. The year-to-date volume is now up 13% to 136,264. Toyota (-7.7%) struggles to 17.4% share vs. 20.5% so far this year but Skoda (+5.1%) is solid in 2nd place with 11.3% of the market. Volkswagen (-5.8%) loses ground year-on-year but is up two spots on February to #3. Both BMW (+15.8%) and Hyundai (+19%) manage stellar progressions below, but Volvo (+50.2%) and Mercedes (+45.6%) are even more impressive. Nissan jumps to #10 and now resides inside the YTD Top 15 at #12.

Looking at the models charts, the Toyota Corolla (+35.3%) holds onto the top spot but the Skoda Octavia (+40.5%) lurks just 83 sales below. The Nissan Qashqai (+130.8%) lodges a splendid month at #3 and now ranks #9 year-to-date vs. #28 over the Full Year 2023. Toyota monopolises the rest of the Top 5 with the Yaris Cross (-28%) at #4 and the C-HR (-4%) at #5. The Toyota RAV4 (+32%) and Hyundai Tucson (+24.6%) also impress in the remainder of the Top 10. The VW Tiguan (+127.5%) surges to #11 while the Volvo XC40 is up from outside the March 2023 Top 50 directly to #12.
