Chelsea mother charged in death of son, 3
A Chelsea mother has been charged with the death of her 3-year-old son.
Jennifer Prudencio, 25, is charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless endangerment of her son, Yael Guardado-Prudencio, who was found unresponsive and declared dead on Sunday.
“The death of someone so young is a tragedy beyond words,” Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement. “My heart goes out to all who knew and loved this young boy, and to the police and emergency services personnel who responded to the scene that sad morning.”
Police were called to the Prudencio home, an apartment on Spencer Avenue, on Sunday where the boy was found unresponsive. Details of the allegations are expected to be revealed at Prudencio’s arraignment at Chelsea District Court tomorrow morning.
