Initially aired in the United Kingdom, Love Island is a reality dating show where several contestants live together at scenic locations and form relationships – be it romantic or platonic, in order to stay an islander and win the prize money as a couple. CBS picked up the series for the United States, which first aired on July 9, 2019, on the network.

After a successful run of three seasons from 2019 to 2022, the series was picked up by Peacock for further installments.

With this shift, we saw Sarah Hyland joining the title as its host in 2022 and replacing Arielle Vandenberg, who hosted the first three seasons.

Interestingly, THR, during an interview with one of the show’s executive producers, Simon Thomas, asked him a question about his experience with Sarah as a host.

In response, Thomas said,

Sarah’s fantastic! She’s just such a natural and so likable and, you know, I think the Islanders all look up to her as well. So she’s been, she’s just a joy.
